The results for our Annual Club Championships are now out and also the Club Records along with the PB database have been updated.
It was fantastic to see 10 swimmers at the gala who were new to competition and in total all the swimmers achieved a fantastic 126 PB's.
Isaac Hill achieved a massive 25 second PB and Rebecca Dewhurst a 22 second PB for their IMs compared to this event last year. Euan Morse did three fantastic swims in Breast stroke, Freestyle and Backstroke managing to take 19, 18 and 12 seconds off his pb times. Erin McNeil bettered her IM time by 18 seconds and Charlotte Curwen her 100m Freestyle by 16 seconds. Eloise Swift achieved a 11 second PB in 25m Fly and Rachel Dewhurst a 11 second PB in her 50m Fly. Obviously there were many more so well done everybody.
As if this wasn't enough 15 club records were broken which is excellent. Abbie Hewitt achieved 4 and Ernie Collinson 3 - so a special congratulations to both of them.
Don't forget all the medals, ribbons and trophies will be awarded at the presentation evening on February 27th at Garstang Golf and Country Club. The tickets will be available in the New Year but save the date in your diary now.
Thank you to everybody who helped run the gala and to all those swimmers who took part and supported each other so well.
